About the complex

Ski resort Skalité - Serafínov is situated in the village of Skalité, in the beautiful surroundings of the Kysucké Beskydy, on the border of Slovakia, Bohemia and Poland. The Ski complex is directly linked with Polish Ski and Tourist Centre - Zwardoň, they are both connected with two tourist border crossings, railway line Skalité – Zwardoň and road border checkpoint Skalité – Zwardoň.

Access to the Ski resort is possible by train, by car or on skis, from Polish village, Zwardoň cross the tourist border crossings. You can get to our Ski resort by train from Čadca, getting off at the train station, Skalité-Serafínov, where our complex is situated. From Poland, you travel through the station Bialsko Biala to the station Zwardoň and then from there, you can reach the railway station Skalité-Serafínov. Nearby, 2 km far away from the Ski complex Skalité-Serafínov, there is the road border checkpoint Skalité – Zwardoň. The motorway II/487 from Slovak side and motorway 944 from Polish side, the traffic of which enables the transport straight to the ski-lifts, head just to above mentioned checkpoint. Ski-slopes are suitable for less and mid-demanding skiers. Parking of the vehicles is provided directly next to the ski-lifts.

Visitors of our Ski-resort can use the cross country skiing tracks of Kysucká lyžiarská magistrála. Other attractions, out of skiing season, mainly for sport and tourist lovers, are marked foot paths heading to surrounding tops of the Kysucké Beskydy, Beskyd Zywiecky and Wind park´s hills. Furthermore, you can visit John the Babtist´s Church with the calvary in Skalité and you should not omit cyclo-touristic paths on the Slovak-Czech-Polish border, mushrooms picking, berries picking, trips to the castles and manors of Žilina district, the Outdoor Museum of Kysuce Village with narrow-gauge railway in Vychylovka, Orava dam, Thermal Swimming Pool – Bešeňová, Thermal Swimming Pool – Oravice, Swimming Pool and Spa – Rajecké Teplice, pilgrimage place – Živčáková near Turzovka, Stone Balls in Klokočov and Milošová and many others.
